Explore King John's Castle

Did you know that this charming castle was built on an ancient Viking settlement? Now that you know it, visiting it will be even more exciting!
The building is located near the River Shannon and was built by King John in 1200. It is one of the best-preserved Norman castles in Europe and has several galleries with temporary and permanent exhibitions.
