What is East Harlem known for?

One of the most important historical sites in the area, is Langston Hughes House, the place where poet Langston Hughes resided between the years 1947 to 1967.
Another place you shouldn’t miss, is for sure The Harlem Courthouse, a Gothic-Romanesque Revival building, designed and built between 1891 and 1893 by the architectural firm Thom & Wilson.
